In the view of the paparazzi drinking boba tea!
Dear Readers,
The problem with being penny-pinch is that you become a pound foolish.
Ever since I joined my business school, I have been slowly developing the skill of visualizing and brainstorming, and it has helped me tremendously. As soon as I start thinking, before even realizing it, I am standing in front of the whiteboard with a marker, in front of a green board with chalk, or in front of my laptop screen with my stylus. I even have a favorite classroom in the institute solely because it has a whiteboard and a green board. But sadly, because of the cold weather, I am not able to stay in the institute for very long, so I purchased a whiteboard sheet for my room.
This is one of the best investments I have made so far, and if you also want to get one for yourself, click here.
Paparazzi
Who do you think took this photo? Was it the actor? or their PR team? No, it’s the paparazzi! and it’s everywhere. But why do a bunch of photographers spend their entire lives trying to get these kinds of photographs? They make money by catering to our desire to know what is happening in the lives of our favourite celebrities. In a way, it makes us feel closer to them. Where did it all start, and were the founding fathers the ones who sowed the seeds that resulted in the paparazzi's bad reputation? You may be surprised to know that, as a matter of fact, they did. If you are interested in the history of paparazzi like I am, check out this video:
Either/View
I have been searching for a source to get editorial-like content but delivered in a better manner. With so much biased news around, it’s difficult to understand two sides of the same coin, even if I wanted to. When you know the whole story, your opinion is richer and more valuable than when you only know part of it. Either/View is a newsletter service started by alumni of IIM Ahmedabad, and so far this service is available for free. You just need to visit their website, Eithe/View and subscribe to their service. I highly recommend you check it out.
Boba Tea
Today, Google celebrated the popularity of Boba Tea. Personally, I am a big fan of boba tea, and if I could, I would’ve made everyone try it at least once. Bubble tea is a tea-based drink that originated in Taiwan in the early 1980s (source: Wikipedia). The black balls that you see in the picture are actually tapioca pearls, and the process of making them is very interesting. Check this video out to see how its made -
I hope that I am able to add value to anyone who is reading this.
Enjoy your weekend, Namaste!
